About

I am a neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist (www.courtneymurphyphd.com). I specialize in working with clients age 12 through 100+ years. I am a lifespan neuropsychologist with specialization in neurodevelopmental diversities (e.g., ADHD – including high IQ ADHD, learning differences – dysgraphia, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ASD / formerly termed Asperger’s) and medical neuropsychological conditions (e.g., stroke, concussion, dementia, normal aging concerns, etc.). I work as a neuropsychologist within a major medical center, but in my private practice, I tend to see patients who are highly functional but have perhaps been “missed” by the school system due to co-occurring psychiatric stress (e.g., attention difficulties mis-attributed to anxiety) or who have been compensating very well with family supports and extra help. My evaluations help to tease out the extent of difficulties (while highlighting strengths), provide diagnostic clarity, and treatment planning forward.

Education & Experience

PhD in Clinical Psychology with Houston Guideline Certificate Program in Clinical Neuropsychology. Two year postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology.
